Jude Hasbani graduated with a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is currently the coordinator for the New England Institute for Clinical Research, Hasbani Division. Clinical trials are a great opportunity to advance medicine in a caring and attentive environment.
Jude is actively involved in running a clinical trial for spasticity, a post-stroke condition that causes stiffness and muscle spasms on one side of the body. The Directions Trial is testing the relative efficacy of two FDA approved medications, Botox and Dysport, to loosen patients’ tightness and provide more function in the arm. The trial is sponsored by Ipsen, a pharmaceutical company that owns Dysport. Once a patient has completed the trial, he/she will have an opportunity to join other spasticity trials at the New England Institute for Clinical Research, located in Stamford, CT.
